House Paella. A Doña Juana’s original since 1985. The house paella is the star of our paellas.
This Paella includes a variety of seafood. Mussels, jumbo shrimp, squid. chicken, pork loin, a variety of sausages, and vegetables (green beans, butter beans, peas).
Paella is a rice based dish, originating in the Valencian Community (Spain). Today it is very popular practically all over the world. In this recipe the rice is cooked together with other foods in a pan, usually wide and with handles.
The popularity of this dish has meant that today there are variants that can be summarised in the seafood paella, made with a combination of fish and/or shellfish. Another example, mixed paella consisting of a mixture of meat and seafood (or fish). We also find the vegetable paella, black paella (This paella is made with finely chopped squid, whole squid, fresh white clams and squid ink).
